For this weeks Product Showcase we'll be taking a look at INSIZE's 150mm Digital Caliper, which is also one of our most popular products.

As we discussed in our previous Calipers Blog, calipers allow for the measurement of distances between two sides of an object. The INSIZE 1108-150, which measures from 0-150mm or 0-6", is commonly used for outside measurement. By sliding the jaws open, the user can place the caliper over an object, close the jaws and then determine the outside diameter or length of the target object.

The main material used in construction is stainless steel, giving the caliper a slick and professional finish, whilst also providing strength and solid protection against water, dirt and oil. As stainless steel is used on most high end calipers, you can expect to pay a slightly more premium price, but INSIZE matches this value with pure, expert quality, meaning you'll have this tool for years. Additionally, using the CR2032 battery, which is easy to find in most supermarkets, is a blessing in disguise.

One might think that it's probably just as easy to use a ruler, especially if you're only measuring small distances up to 150mm or 6". However, calipers and digital calipers in particular, make the job of reading these measurements much, much easier. There is absolutely no reason to be reaching for any other measuring tool, especially when the distance can be read on a nice digital display (It even reads up to 0.01mm!) and it saves time on judging analogue numbers.
