The 16 ER 28 W BMA is a precision-ground external threading insert designed for generating fine-pitch 28 TPI Whitworth threads. Conforming to BS 84 standards, the insert features a 55° included angle with a rounded crest and root, making it ideal for legacy British-standard components, small-diameter pipe threads, and instrumentation applications requiring high thread fidelity.
Made from high-performance BMA-grade carbide, this insert offers excellent wear resistance, edge stability, and thermal performance, especially suited for long production runs and tight tolerance threading.
