The Stub ACME Full Profile External Thread Turning Insert is designed to machine Stub ACME threads, which feature a shorter thread height and thicker roots compared to standard ACME threads. With a 5 TPI pitch, this insert generates the full thread profile crest, root, and flanks in a single operation, making it ideal for high-load, space-efficient threading applications such as actuators, valve stems, and power screws.
Manufactured from high-performance BMA-grade carbide, the insert offers excellent edge stability, wear resistance, and thermal performance. Its X and Y geometry (2.0 mm and 2.3 mm) enables smooth cutting action, strong chip control, and precise profile integrity, especially in external left-hand threading operations.
