Product Showcase: Digital Height Gauges

Product Showcase: Digital Height Gauges

It is time for another blog on INSIZE and this week we will be looking at their Digital Height Gauges and specifically the larger range variants (No Mini Gauges today).

These fantastic instruments are the perfect tool for measuring height with high accuracy and precision. The gauge itself is made from high quality stainless steel, providing expert durability and strength. The base is made from tough iron, ensuring the gauge remains stable while measurements are taken.

For measuring there is a carbide tipped scriber attached to a slider that acts as the measuring point. This slider moves up and down the beam, which includes both 'mm' and 'inch' markings, recording heights to a resolution of 0.01mm/0.0005". Furthermore, a second wheel allows for fine turning measurements.

Digital Height Gauges are by far the easiest variant of Height Gauges to use as they are much easier to read than Dial or Vernier.

INSIZE Digital Height Gauge 1150

Our website currently sells the 1150 and the 1156 variants. The INSIZE 1150 is known as the 'Economic Type' as it is slightly less accurate with an accuracy of ±0.05mm for its smallest range, in comparison to the 1156 which has an accuracy of ±0.03mm for its smallest range.

The 1150 comes in ranges 300mm, 500mm, 600mm, 1000mm, 1500mm and 2000mm. The 1156 comes in 300mm, 600mm and 1000mm.

Now to take measurements with any height gauge, it is super important to ensure you are using a flat and stable surface. This can be done using a table or granite plate. Then you can place the object being measured and the height gauge on the surface and use the scriber to locate the top of the object being measured.
