The CMT C18 Vertical Milling Tool with Partial Profile 60° inserts is engineered for both internal and external thread milling across ISO and UN profiles. Utilizing the C18D60 insert, it supports coarse pitch ranges for robust thread cutting performance in a wide range of applications. With a cutting diameter of 17.8 mm, this tool delivers optimal access and accuracy, even in challenging workpieces.
The insert handles internal pitch ranges from 2.0–3.0 mm (13–8 TPI) and external pitch ranges from 1.75–2.5 mm (15–10 TPI), making it highly versatile for coarse-thread applications. Designed for performance in both small and medium-diameter threads, the insert offers excellent chip control and dimensional consistency.
Manufactured using MT7 carbide grade with a titanium aluminum nitride multi-layer coating (ISO K10–K20), the insert excels in high-speed, high-load cutting environments.
